Question: Can a man have a midlife crisis at 40?

A midlife crisis isnt a psychological disorder per se, but its still an uncomfortable period of transition between 40 and 55, although theres some variability in the timing of midlife crises. Men and women experience midlife crises somewhat differently.

What percentage of adults over age 40 have reported experiencing a midlife crisis?

The data showed that 15.5% of men, and 13.3% of women, reported having had a midlife crisis from ages 38 through 50.
